President Trump also kicked off his voter fraud commission’s first meeting Wednesday by criticizing states that failed to comply with the commission’s request to turn over voter information. The Democratic National Committee announced it would create its own commission to counter the President’s.
The governor of Minnesota said the officers involved in the fatal shooting of an Australian woman on Sunday should have been using their body cameras, even though it wasn’t required. Justine Damond was shot to death by a Minneapolis police officer Saturday night after police say she called 911 twice to report a possible sexual assault near her home.
In Salem, Massachusetts, exactly 325 years ago, five women were hanged after being deemed “witches”. 20 people in all were killed during the 17th century witch hunt. On Wednesday, the community in Salem unveiled a memorial to 19 of the victims, promising to never forget the tragedy.
