This is AP news minute.
1. President Donald Trump is backing a GOP plan to make changes to legal immigration, seeking to create a system based more on merit and skills than family ties. The bill will also slash a member of refugees in half, and eliminate a program that provides VISA to countries with low rates of immigration.
2. For the 4th time this year, the U.S force successfully launched an unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile from California's Vandenberg air force base. The latest test comes amid tensions with North Korea, as that nation developed its own ICBMs.
3. Two people are unaccounted for after an explosion and partial building collapse at a private college pre school in Minneapolis. Fire officials say it appeared the explosion may have been caused by a ruptured gas line but the investigation is ongoing.
4. And a newborn calf has been born with a strikingly similar black and white marking to the face painted often supported by Gene Simmons, the front man of rock band KISS. The calf born Friday in a Texas ranch was named "Gene" in honor of Simmons.
