1. At a memorial service for Heather Heyer in charlottesville, Virginia, her mother said they killed my child to try to shut it up, instead they magnified her. The 32-year old paralegal died during Saturday's demonstrations. She was struck by a car allegedly driven by White supremacist. Heyer 's mother said her daughter's motto was "If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention".
2. President Donald Trump tweeted that he is shutting down his executive advisory councils. Members were publicly withdrawing from the councils in the wake of the president's words about charlottesville.
3. The first round of negotiations for a new North American free trade agreement are underway in Washington. U.S trade representative Robert Lighthizer said United States won't settle for cosmetic changes. Talks could prove contentious.
4. And in Pestigo, Wisconsin, Doug Bergson is the lucky man. In June, he shot himself in the chest with a nailgun. It missed a major artery by a 16th of inch. Bergson was hospitalized for two days. And after 6 weeks of recovery at home, he is going back to work.
